Dr. Howard's Ecology Lab

WELCOME!!!
Welcome to the home page of Dr. Jerry Howard, in the Department of Biological Sciences at the University of New Orleans. Students in my lab pursue a variety of questions about the ecology of terrestrial plants and animals at levels from the individual to the ecosystem. These disparate projects are united by their relationship to one of a few broad issues of enduring interest to me: behavioral ecology; insect ecology, plant-animal interactions and the biology of invasive species.

On this page you can find information about me, my current and former graduate students, and current members of my lab. You can search my curriculum vitae, research interests, publications, and syllabi of courses I currently teach on a regular basis. If you are interested in joining my lab as either a graduate or undergraduate student, please have a look at information for prospective students. Primary and secondary teachers can view, download, and respond to exercises for teaching ecology and entomology, taken from my summer courses for teachers.
